Dear family, i have been put into the job place of being a ambulance driver. The job goes on all day with no breaks expect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for time to sleep. The job has gotten harder in the past few months with the amount of soldiers getting injured and dying. I got put into the position of a ambulance driver because, the amount of soldiers dying has gone up witch means that they needed more drivers and i got picked as one of them. Even though its a tough job, there is a less chance of me dying than being a soldier. I am not sure when i will be going back home, i am hoping its soon but nobody has gone home for about 1 year. I sent you guys a picture of me in front of the ambulance that i drive majority of the time

Main causes of WW1
Militarism: The opinions that a country should use its military power to reach the countries goals. Many people and politicians believed that Militarism is the easiest and fastest way to gain control of countries and to achieve its goals which linked to a big cause of WW1.
Alliances: Countries who group up for mutual benefit, pretty much making two or more countries friends. During WW1 some allies were, Austria - Hungary, France - russia, and Triple Alliance -Germany.
Imperialism: When a country takes over a smaller country for more land, power, and control. During WW1 either the country wanted to take over more countries or you would want to leave the control of the bigger country.
Nationalism: Being proud of the country you live in, and is often with the belief that the country is more important that others. Serbs who wanted to greater establish serbia were one of the reasons why WW1 started.
The spark of the war was when Franz Ferdinand and his wife was assassinated by a Serb nationalist in Austro - Hungary in 1914. This sparked the war because, it was viewed as a great excuse to attack Serbia.
Events In Order:
Lusitana - May 7th, 1915: British ocean liner that was sunk by a torpedo shot off by a german U boat.
Sussex Pledge - March 26th, 1916: A promise made by Germany to not to sink merchant ships without assuring the passengers safety.
unrestricted submarine warfare - January 9th, 1917: Sinking ships like tankers and freighters without any warning.
Zimmermann Telegram - January 16th, 1917: A proposal from Germany to Mexico to join the central powers, the telegram was in code.

General Victoriano Huerta
General Victoriano Huerta was the president of mexico from 1913 - 1914. He was an alcoholic, brutal fighter, and also a lier. During his presidency he fought against many rebels including Pancho Villa and Felix Diaz. He was killed in 1916, in prison from cirrhosis, while some people believe that he was poisoned by Americans.
His life as a child was tough, he grew up in a poor family in the state of Jalisco. When he was in his teens he joined the army. He was quickly liked by Dictator Porfirio Diaz for his ruthless fighting and being a worthy leader, he was quickly ranked up to General. Diaz then gave his duties to fight the Yaquis and the suppression of Indian uprisings. Huerta later signed up to serve under Francisco Madero and had him take on many tasks including going to the north to fight with Pascual Orozco and the south to deal with Emiliano Zapata fighting with Pancho villa, which lead to Villa thinking Huerta was a drunk who shouldn't run a army.
Huerta later rose to power, he arrested Madero and forced him to sign a resignation. which later than lead to Madero and vice president Pino Suarez were killed for supposably escaping prison, which was false and Huerta most likely planned the killings of Madero and Vice President Pino Suarez. Huerta then became president of Mexico and attempted to be a Dictator trying to be like his role model Porfirio Diaz. While in power his military went downhill, he got defeated by Pancho Villa at the battle of Zacatecas which then lead into him going into exile. While Huerta was in exile he moved around in a lot of different countries like Italy, Spain, and the United States. In 1915 Huerta planned his return as leader of mexico, he was later found in New Mexico and was put into prison. Huerta then died in prison in 1916 from cirrhosis. But some believe he was poisoned by Americans.
