The GDP effected most of America. People were homeless, poor, and had no jobs. Everything changed when FDR was elected, he created the new deal which created job programs, put regulations on the stock market, created a safety net for people who were unemployed.Although many didn't like the new deal, it did get the US out of the GDP and created many good things for people in America.

A overspeculation (Define, how important)

people bowering money from banks to invest in the stock market expecting that they will gain money, made banks loss a lot of money during the GDP.  

B Govt Policy
The government should only do things with approval of congress and the supreme court. 

C Unstable Econ

The economy at the time was unstable because of the amount of war debt we had and how many people were buying things with loans from banks, put companies and banks in debt and out of business. 

1 uneven prosperity

people like blacks, immigrants, and farmers faced hard times during the GDP. Farmers were not as needed as they were during the war, Blacks were segregated in many communities, and immigrants had a tough time finding jobs. 

2 overproduction

Companies produced more products than ever because they believed that they would make all of the money back when people would start buying them, the companies would lose a ton of money once people didn't buy the products that they were producing. 

3 worker issues / farm issues

Workers were not payed as much as they would've liked because of the rate of inflation and farmers faced things like the Dust Bowl when all of there crops were wiped away by dust storms multiple years in a row.

many people lost there jobs which made them poor.

people had less nice things and many people were homeless and created "Hoover Towns" (homeless camps).

In general the world was progressing except the US when the GDP hit. 

IV Solutions

A Hoover

Ran the country during the begging of the GDP.

1 Volunteerism

jobs that people did for no cash benefit that helped build things that made money. 

2 Public Works

jobs that built things such as bridges, buildings, and roads. it created jobs during the GDP. 

3 Hawley Smoot

Raising tariffs on imported goods witch created jobs by companies begging in the US creating goods and made more money on imported goods. 

4 RFC

gave 2 billion dollars to states and the government that funded companies to create more jobs.  

B Roosevelt

FDR created the new deal which got us out of the GDP.

Some people believed that the new deal was a bad idea because the country would go to far in debt and that we should've waited it out and while others wanted FDR to do more.

b National labor relations act, let workers join into trade unions, and organized labor rights.  

c Work progress administration, Put unemployed people to work in public work projects around the world. 

V Criticicism

Believed that FDR was going to put our country into a big amount of debt.

Believed that FDR was going to far and was going to put our country into a serious amount of debt.

Believed that FDR needed to do more to get our country out of the GDP.

ex Wanted more things that created jobs, helped people in debt, and helped the elderly. 

VI Effectiveness

Many people got jobs, people had more money to spend, Workers had more rights. 

A Changes in US

The country got out of the GDP, people had jobs, many people got out of debt. 

B Unions

Worker had more rights and worked in a less dangerous environment than they had during the GDP. 

C Culture

Many people were more happy because they had jobs, more people had money to spend, and it was easier to get a job. 

VII Conclusion
In the end the country turned into a better place, people got jobs, workers had more rights, more jobs were created by the new deal, the country got out of the GDP, and many new things were built. The country mostly got out of the GDP because of FDR because he created the new deal and many people believed that thats what really got us out off the GDP. Even though conservative people believed that FDR shouldn't spend too much money on the new deal because it would get us in debt, the new deal got us out of the GDP and we have no debt on the new deal anymore.
